I don't know if I am in the right group but here is my problem. I have a
win2k3 server with active directory, after joining a computer to the domain I
want to give a user administrative rights to the local computer, but when I
go to the computer management, local users and groups and try to add a user,
I dont see the entire directory and the domain listed when I click on the the
location buttom, it only displays the name of the local computer.
The workstation is Winxp Pro, with spk2, I am able to access the network
drives, or ping the server by its DNS name. I have already tried to remove
the computer from the domain and joined it again, but still have the same
problem.

can someone help me or tell me how to fix this? I don't have any problems
with the other worstations.

you have to define the location of where to get users from
this is shown just above the "enter object names to select from..."
also you have to log on to the domain and not local
