I put the name for domain BARJ, without ".".

I read that name for domain shoul be BARJ.local, but I
maid it 2 years ago, and I didn't have problems.

Now I have forest and one domain BARJ in it.

I plan to make another domain in forest. Will it be
problem?

thanks for your time

If your DNS domain name is BARJ, that is considered a single-label domain name.
Starting with SP4 for Windows 2000, and by default in Windows 2003, single-label domain names won't work properly unless you make a registry change to support them.

That is the only issue you need to consider, other than that, it should be fine.

Take a look at these articles for all the details -

THANK YOU!!

I just plan to install SP4 on servers, and this is BIG
information!!
