Okay ... I'm confused.

I installed a brand new computer and everything was working fine. I was
then advised who would be getting the computer, and added this person to the
Administrators group for the system adding both a local account and her
domain account into the local Administrator group.

If I log in to this pc everything works fine. This user cannot log into
this machine at all either locally or as a Domain User.

This user can log into as many Win 98 machines as a domain user as she
wants. There is no limit on multiple logins.

What gives?????

What is the error when:
a) You attempt to log in with the local account.

No error all is well
b) You attempt to log in with the domain account.

Erroneus error ... a message box pops up asking you to confirm that your
usierd name and domain name are spelled correctly and that the password in
in the correct case.
Is this computer still a member of the domain?

Yes. All other users I have asked to can lon on to this machine except one.
I am going to try have the user change her password and try again ...

Problem solved. Appears there was some sort of weird syncronisation problem
when the user in question had last reset her password on the server. Why it
would work from any Windows 98 machine and she could not log in from a
Windows XP machine leaves me baffled.

However, having her change her password once more (from her Win98 machine)
solved the problem.
