Domain Controller (logon server)

Is it possible to limit the DCs a site is able to logon
to? We often authenticate to our DC at a remote site. I
would like to limit our authentication to our local DCs.
It seems the Discovery process would find our local DCs
first. Is this process alphabetical(the remote DC is the
first in the list)?
