Doing Chemistry assignments in Word

I would like to know how to complete my Chemistry assignments using MS word
2000 or 2003. Expecally writing chemical formulas. Thanks
 
Although Equation Editor is useful for complex formulas, most can easily be
typed in Word. Use Insert | Symbol to find any special characters you need
(see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm) and Ctrl+= to
format characters as subscript.
