Does XP CD have a repair option?

Does the XP cd have a repair option? My machine is
locking up when I try to run the "disk clean up" option
under accessories/system tools. I would prefer not do a
total reinstall of XP.

Hi,

Yes! XP does have a repair option (using CD). But, repair is not required
now.

When you run the Disk Cleanup utility, the program may stop responding
(hang) while scanning for compressed files. This issue occurs when there is
an incorrect entry in the registry that is used by the Disk Cleanup utility
to locate compressed files..
