Does Vista support HPET

I was reading an article saying that Windows Vista may support HPET(high
performance event timing) also Known as MMT(mutimedia timing). I was
exploring my BIOS(D975XBX2), and noticed that HTEP was disabled. I was
wandering if I should enable this setting? OS Windows Vista Home Premium
32bit.
