Does the trial version of Outlook 2007 allow use of calendar?

I just downloaded a trial version of Outlook 2007 so I can find out if it's
possible to learn and use in my job search. I have not been able to do much
of anything with the calendar, however, and there seems to be next to no
support for the trial version that I've found so far.

It's a pretty lousy way to entice people to buy a product if you can't even
realistically use a major function of it during the trial period!

Thanks.

what are you trying to do and what happens? The trial is a full version and
AFAIK, nothing is disabled.

When I try to enter an appointment I can get the cursor to appear, then I
type in the appointment info. As soon as I do anything more the text
disappears and a window pops up saying "Could not save item." When I
right-click anywhere on the calendar at least the upper half, maybe more, is
grayed out.

Thanks for your time.

Did you activate it? If so, try Help, Office Diagnostics. (If not, activate
it.)

It's working now. I hadn't done a hard re-boot, maybe that's all it needed.
I also had OE running to begin with, but opened Outlook first today and all
is well. So far.
