Does the RichTextBox ActiveX control work in PPT 2000?

When I add a TextBox ActiveX control to a slide, it behaves properly. But
when I add a RichTextBox (6.0 SP4) and run the slide show, I get a
nonfunctional image in the correct location, plus a functioning one in the
upper-left corner of the slide. Am I doing something wrong, or does this
feature have bugs?
