Does Outlook have a send and file to folder?

We used to have Lotus Notes as our email provided. It had
an option to send and file. That way all of your sent
messagaes pertinent to a particular customer were in the
same folder. Does Outlook have an option similiar to this?

Not directly. You CAN set up a Rule to do this, but you have to apply the
rule manually as rules only work automatically on the Inbox.
 
You can also use the option - in folders other than Inbox, save replies with
original message.
