Does outlook 2000 have instant messaging capabilities?

I've heard that outlook 2000 has instant messaging capabilities, but I'm not
seeing that. It seems Exchange has messaging, but what about outlook?

I don't think any version of Outlook has IM capability. OL 2002 and 2003
both integrate with Windows Messenger somewhat, however.
 
Outlook doesn't have any intrinsic IM capabilities but integrates with
Windows Messenger. That might have been added after OL2000 though
