Every two weeks or so when I try to start up the computer it fails to boot
because it is unable to recognize the hard drive. I have found that if I
remove the other drives (two cdrw's and one zip) it will then start up. If
I then shut it down and re-install the drives everything works fine again
for a couple of weeks. I have tried replacing the ribbon wire connecting
the drives. The hard drive is connected onto the primary ide and I have
tried connecting it onto the middle connection of the ribbon wire and also
onto the end connection but I still have the same problem. Any idea what is
causing this problem?
Thanks
