Hi all,
I scan n picture to a computer file with resolution of 72dpi. Now I
print it out by my HP photosmart 8250 at the best mode (600 dpi). I am
wondering if my print has a resolution of 600 dpi or 72 dpi. If it is
600 dpi, does my printer interpolate the image?

Thanks

The printer driver will interpolate, but a 72ppi source file just will
not give much quality. The printer cannot add detail that does not
exist in the original. A resolution of 72ppi is OK for display on a
CRT, but for printing you will want 200 ppi or better.
