When I go to C:\Documents and Settings there are 5 folders
listed:
476ABC
Default User C
Default User
All Users C
All Users

"476ABC" seems to have all my aplications and important
stuff in it and the dates are current.
"All Users" only has a few folders in it dated this month.

Default User C, Default User, and All Users C only have
folers dated in 6/03 which is when I installed Windows XP.
Can I delete these folders?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bert

Did you reinstall xp at one time? Looks like you have multiple folders you
dont need or shouldn't have. Which ones xp is really using I couldn't tell
you. But this is what xp should have:
all users folder
default user folder
any user account you created folders
administrator folder(if you ever accessed the hidden administrator account)

Default user and all users are the normal folder names. If xp is using these
folders, then you could delete the others, but if xp is using the others it
will surely mess things up. Create a restore point before trying the
deletes.

Can you recommed the best way to set up a restore point( I
was just going to copy the folders to a new folder where I
can find them again)?

Start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, create a
restore point.
