Documents and Settings folder

Hi

RC1 (Build 5600) installed in a dual boot with Windows XP.

My "Documents and Settings" folder on my Vista drive denies me access, even
if I run it as an administrator.

Also, I have tried different solutions to get rid of the logon screen but
all I managed is to make it worst as I now also have an administrator
choice, besides my name and picture.

I have turned UAC off in the "User Accounts" applet in the Control Panel and
I have also selected "Disable UAC" and then clicked on "Launch" in the
"Tools" tal of tMsConfig, without real success.

If anyone knows of another hack, please let me know

thanks

Had the same problem on Beta2, I had to go in and change the
permissions, don't know exactly what was missing so I set to allow
Everyone to do everything :)

Thanks Mayor.

The "Documents and settings" part of the problem is fixed.

If another charitable soul has the answer to my second problem, I would
appreciate hearing from you...)

I remember reading that there is a place somewhere in Control Panel to turn
the Administrator account on or off. Maybe that will help.

Hello,

The Documents and Settings folder has been removed from Windows Vista.

It has been replaced by the Users folder.

What you are attempting to access as the Documenents and Settings folder is
a junction, and it is there to support old applications that still try to
access files using the old folder.

Use the users folder instead.
