Document viewer trying to install - disk needed?

First, I made the mistake of having anything to do with AOL.

A couple of days ago, I used several of their "one click fixes". Since then
I've had problems. One of the fixes turned off Windows Messenges Service. I
kept gettingh error messages, until I got it back on.

BUT, I continue to get messages that say Please wait while windows
configures Document Viewer, and another that says that The feature you are
trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.
Insert the Document Viewer disk and click OK.

I'd be glad to if I had one.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

maybe this can help:

http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?mkt=en-US&form=MSHOME&setlang=en-US&q=Document+Viewer+disk+

i recall that aol instituted new technology
with viewing ms word documents via their
email program and people didn't need to
have ms word installed.

but not sure how extensive your issue
really is with your system. ultimately,
you should try a system restore or
run > sfc /scannow

many evil programmers find amusement
by using popular products to corrupt
the system especially when people do
not do a bit more researching and fall
for the "one click" to resolve issues when
none existed to begin with...
