Document Protection

I've created a form and have been toggling back and forth
between protecting and unprotecting the form (using the
lock icon in the toolbar) as I've been creating it. Now
all the suddent the icon is unavailable and the "Protect
Document" under Tools is also grayed out. Any
suggestions?????????

Try inserting the document into a new document.

You are probably in Edit Mode. If you are in Edit mode for your form for some reason you can't protect.
