My co-worker has a question about Word 2003:

She states that when she titled a document via File | Properties | Title
using Word 97, she would title the document something different than the
saved doument name. When she would send the file via e-mail as an
attachment, the subject line of the e-mail would default to whatever the File
| Properties |Title name she gave the file; it did not put the .doc file name
in the subject line.

in 2003, the subject line defaults to whatever name she saves the document
as. The File | Properties | Title infomration is no longer appearing in the
subject line of her e-mail.

She wants to know if she has the option to change this.

Any help would be appreciated .

Does she save before creating the email? I have tested it in 2003 and mine
still works in that same manner.

Mine shows the filename and not the title, whether I have saved it or not.
If it hasn't been saved, the subject line is Document1 and the attachment is
Doc1.doc.

So if you were to change the title of the document (not the file name) and
save it, then attach it to an e-mail, the document name would appear in the
Subject line of the outgoing e-mail, correct? Not the document title.

My co-worker would like the default back to where the document title shows
in the Subject line instead of the its saved file name. I'm thinking this is
not an option.

From my experience I would say that it is not an option.
