document overtypes in right colum, and overtype options doesnt

All of my type is in left hand margin, as overtype. When I view in book
format everything looks fine. I checked overype in options and that didnt
work. Everything types in the farthest left space

Try closing the document and reopening it. Sometimes that helps. (Don't ask
me what causes it. When it happened to my boss he called me in his office to
fix it. When he asked me why it happened, I told him that if I could answer
