Document Formst

I am inputting a manuscript with a separate file for each chapter. How do I
use the same formatting style for each without re-setting it in each
document? I have tried saving the style as a template, but must be doing
something wrong.

After creating your template, create a new document based on that template
for each chapter and use Insert | File to insert the existing document into
the new document. The document format will be maintained; how much the
document will reflect the styles defined by the template will depend on what
styles were applied to the document to begin with.
