Docked Toolbars in Word Keep Moving

My O/S is Windows XP, and I'm using Word 2003. . . when I open Word, all of
my toolbars (standard, formatting, mail merge, etc.) are no longer docked in
the same position I left them in during a previous session - at the top of
the screen. In fact, I have to keep manually docking them at the top of the
screen, the location where Word defaults its toolbars, but they only stay
there during a current session. If I close Word and re-open, the toolbars
are located at the top of the screen, but they are very disorganized and all
of the place. I have looked under 'option' and in the help files but can't
find anything that would suggest why I might be having this problem. Anyone
have any ideas?
