This looks like the sort of thing which could be very useful.
I wonder how good it is?
I'm currently trying to find a way of converting a .WPS file (from MS
Works) into something I can open because I don't have Works on my PC.

But without lotsa reading, I'm not sure if the free version is
crippled or limited or how you might get a free key to use it!

So how do they get the money out of those who have to pay to use it
- ie anybody who's not defined as "personal use"? Honesty?

Can you do a double conversion? I've had to several times. (but not for
open office - Woo-hoo)
Export the file in a 3rd party format that your new app can import...

Argh-ha! And by purchasing a key or maybe a new frock, the nagging
stops! ;-) That would explain it.

The only 'nag' is an invitation to register. I just click on 'Cancel'
each time. I have no idea what happens if you choose to register.

serves up or does it actually require a mouse click?

Oh, dear
I've just started using Open Office and it allegedly opens .wps - I haven't
got one to try it on.
If the doc is not to private, and you could get the file to me somehow
(email attachment, posted on the web etc) I could try to convert it and get
it back to you. (email attach or on my webspace)
Of course you could download Open office, but I had to wait till I got
broadband!

Further to that, the email address you see is for spam; someone would need
to work out a private way of getting communication going, as your published
addy also looks a bit adjusted
