"do not show this again"

you know the "do not show this message / warning again" boxes. my brother
doesn't want me to check these on his computer. is there a way to turn em
back on if i check em & he notices & he will.

Since you've posted this in a Window XP forum I will assume you are using
Windows XP.

Why not just create another account on the computer for yourself? Then he
can have his settings, email, web bookmarks etc. his way and you yours.

That web page show you how to do it. Note though: You probably want to make
your account a "Computer Administrator" account instead of a Limited
account, for many reason including especially if you will be installing
software etc. yourself and so on.

task i've got my own computer to misspell things on

1. Don't do it.
2. Don't save settings upon exit.
3. Depends where.....as an example:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Dont Show Dialogs
