Do Internet Permissions Expire?

If I leave my XP Pro computer on for several hours (overnight), it appears
that the firewall blocks all traffic so I have to reboot to get the traffic
to flow again.

Is there a way to get around this? Thanks ...

What firewall are you using? If it is a third-party one, then there
should be preferences.
