Do I really need Raid a system?

I am thinking about upgrading my P4 system to the new 800MHz type
motherboard, and I have noticed that most of them come with onboard Raid
controllers. I have a single 60gig harddrive on my system now. This is what
I want to do with my computer. I run XP pro. Online gaming digital video
editing and just everyday use of the internet.

1. Dose Raid really make a difference as to the speed of the operating
system and other programs?
2. Can I ghost my 60 gig harddrive to pair raid harddrives?
3. Can I image a raid with singal harddrive?
4. Can I use Drive Image?

Nope.

You can just run that drive as a single drive
on those RAID capable motherboards.
3. Can I image a raid with singal harddrive?

You cant do raid with a single hard drive.

You can certainly continue to image the single drive
thats on the non RAID ports on the motherboard.
4. Can I use Drive Image?

Yes.
