And the question is will i need any of them in the future?
Win 95, 98, 98SE, ME & Win XP and Office 95 & 97?
Oh and various Cisco IT Essentials 1&2, CCNA & Subnetting disc's all over 8 years old!
And a rather dodgy taste in music too!!!

No you probs won't need them. But if you get rid of them you will probs regret it at a later date :-)

Anything you haven't used in the last two years, throw out.

Always a good rule of thumb. Wish I could stick to it. :D

Most of the software was "acquired" whilst working in IT, which was 10 years ago!
Some of the other discs will only work on Server 2003 which i don't run anymore.
But yes anything not used in the last 3 years is getting binned.

I used the purge test. I put all my old disks in a box. After a year of not looking for anything I got rid of it all.

No regrets.

Well as 1 of the cd folders had about an inch of dust over it i have not looked for awhile!!
Now got it down to 1 folder instead of 3.
And some of the cd's were pc mags from 8 years ago, i do collect some crap!!

I like to keep hold of all OS's, mine go back to Dos 5.0. All the rest get binned.

yup, another here, also got CPM, DOS 5, DOS 6.2, and on up ... they're worth keeping now. Wonder if they'll still boot up.

:)
