Do any of the, ftp clients (if that's what you call them) eg FileZilla,
WS_FTP, SmartFtp allow comparison of the website with MyWebs so I can spot
files I have left behind while modifying one or the other. I know Frontpage
does this, but I have weaned myself off it. I use Xenu, but it's quite
laborious.

AFAIK, Filezilla does not provide the functionality you require. It is likely
that the others do not do this, either.

I use the free version of SyncBack to upload my files to my website. This will
do
what you want. You will need to get the latest version, as I found that an
earlier
version that I had seemed to have something funny with FTP.

I'm a great fan of SyncBack, which I also use for synchronising data between my
home and office computer.
