Hello everyone,

Every time I set a laptop as a member of my domain, it creates under the registry HKLM\software\policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\DNSclient\Name Server (IP of my DNS Server)

Thus, when my users bring the laptop home, they can’t connect to their own ISP.

The NIC card grabs an IP Address. However, they still can’t access to the Internet.

When I run nslookup it brings:

C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools>nslookup

*** Can't find server name for address 10.10.200.61: Non-existent domain

*** Default servers are not available

Default Server: UnKnown

Address: 10.10.200.61

In order to make the laptop available to connect to another ISP, I have to remove the computer from the domain and set it up in a workgroup.

After rebooting, the computer works fine.

I checked on my Default GPO and there is nothing set up under my GPO.

Primary DNS Suffix
(Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\DNS Client)

If someone had this problem before please advise.

Thanks

Peggy
