Hi,
I need to deploy Windows 2003 in a New York location. This company has
showroom locations around the country. Currently the showrooms use their
ISPs DNS servers and go directly out to the internet. They authenticate over
their WAN to their NT4 PDC in NY.
I need to be able to point these showrooms to NY for DNS, but need a way to
point them to their ISP for Internet. If they use the forwarder defined in
NY they will be using the NY ISP, not their local ISP.
Any suggestions? Adding a DNS server to each showroom is out of the
question.
Thanks!

In the absence of a DNS server at each location, they will have to use the
NY DNS which uses the NY ISP as a forwarder. You don't have much choice
here, all domain members must use the NY DNS.

If the showrooms each had their own Win2k3 DNS server you could set a
conditional forwarder to the NY DNS for the AD Domain name and the local ISP
for all other domains, but you said that was out of the question.
