Hi guys,
We got a DNS problem.
We have got 3 DNS Servers, Win2k SP4.
Clients are XP SP2.
When trying to resolve a name from AD integrated Zone of the Domain, it
works on one server but does not work on the other 2.
If I resolve via nslookup -> set vc, then it works.
Problem does not exist when resolving from a Win2k or Win2k3 machine, only XP.
What is the problem, and how can I fix it?
See this example:
--------------------------------
U:\>nslookup
Standardserver: server1.blah.com
Address: 192.168.190.1
Address: 192.168.190.1
Name: server4.blah.com
Address: 192.168.190.4
Address: 192.168.190.2
Address: 192.168.190.2
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Zeitüberschreitung bei Anforderung an server2.blah.com
Address: 192.168.190.2
Name: server4.blah.com
Address: 192.168.190.4
--------------------------------
server1 resolves perfectly, server2 does not.
I already deleted the zone and built it up again, no success. I even
re-installed one dns service.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks & Regards
Michel
