Windows XP DNS Problem?

Hi, After installing Norton 2009, my wirless internet for my Toshiba Satelite W/ Windows XP Media Ver 2002 Service pack 3 T2050 @ 1.6 GHz stopped working. Norton remotely uninstalled and reinstalled program and still wont work. They think a file got deleted or corrupted and thats why I have this trouble. It will not run in safe mode or with or without Norton turned on. I ran a test of the system and it said I have a DNS Server Search Order failure. My wifes comp. works on wireless and my desktop is also working fine, so problem is not the internet or the wireless system. Can someone help? Ed
