Dns lookup

Dears;

I have two dns server Dns1, Dns2. dns1 is the parent server of dns2 with
trust relationship between the two.

I can resolve dns1 short name FQDN from dns2, but I cannot resolve dns2 from
dns1 at all.

please help

1. Add the child domain to the DNS suffix search list on the parent domain
computers.
-or-
2. If you use WINS, configure the zones in both domains (WINS tab) to check
WINS for unknown hosts. This is the better solution IMO, because just about
all platforms can register in WINS.
