DNS - Forwarder/Cache

I am looking for a means to either make my root DNS a forwarder (the domain
is currently internal; e.g. not yet registered) or provide a means for
caching outbound queries from Sprint. Also would appreciate a brief summary
of the dis/advantages of using an AD integrated DNS; with any migration
gotchas for Server200+ upgrades.

Most appreciated

Delete the "dot" (".") forward lookup zone that is created by default. This
will allow you to set up forwarders.

Advantage is there is no separate replication just for DNS. DNS information
gets replicated along with the AD information to all DCs with DNS installed.
This replication is encrypted.
