DNS FIREWALLS?!!!

I Have a NT 4 domain, i have a firewall with dmz which has a 2k
server on but i can use the start run \\IPADDRESS of the other
machine and it works but when you browse through the network
neighbourhood you can see each other,

possibly a dns problem????

I have tried opening all ports from one server to the other but to no
joy.

Your question is confusing, you can or cannot browse in Network
Neighborhood?
If it is cannot that is because Nethood uses NetBIOS which will not travrse
a router or NAT device without a VPN and WINS.
Nethood does not use DNS. Please clarify.
