I have a single server running w2k sp 4 on a DSL line
with two NICs. I keep getting DNS errors 4000 and 7055 I
looked at Tech Net Knowledge Base but no help there.
There errors keep filling up the log. Can any offer
advise on how to correct these errors?

Can you post an ipconfig /all from the server please and paste the complete
error from your event log?

Do these things:
In Control panel open Network and Dial up connections, then go to the
Advanced Menu, select Advanced Settings, move the internal interface to the
top of the list and make sure File sharing and Client for MS Networks is NOT
bound to the external interface

Point both adapters to the private IP of the internal interface for DNS then
read this: 300202 - HOW TO Configure DNS for Internet Access in Windows 2000
