DNS Directory Partition Problem

B

Burnsie

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help with the following issue:

2003 Domain(s) running in interim mode.

On a newly added child domain i'm getting (server is DC & AD
intergated DNS)
"The DNS server detected that it is not enlisted in the replication
scope of the directory partition ForestDnsZone"

SO i go to add the dns server to the replication scope of
ForestDnsZone using the following command :

dnscmd dnsservername.child.domain.example /enlistdirectorypartition
forestdnszones.domain.example

BUT

I get the following error...

Enlist directory partition failed: forestdnszones.domain.example
status = 9002 (0x0000232A)

Command failed: RCODE_SERVER_FAILURE 9002 (0000232a)

Which drops the following in the event log of the server i'm trying to
enlist.....

The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active
Directory. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly.
The extended error debug information (which may be empty) is
"000020B5: AtrErr: DSID-03152286, #1:
0: 000020B5: DSID-03152286, problem 1005 (CONSTRAINT_ATT_TYPE), data
0, Att 9067d (msDS-NC-Replica-Locations)". The event data contains the
error.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the above issue ?
