Hi,

I have an Allied Tellysys AR140 internet router wich keeps
on making unwanted calls to the internet £1,300 last
quarter. I have contacted AT and have put in place all the
filters they suggest but am still getting the same
problem. I have contacted tech support again and they said
that another customer had the same problem and it was to
do with Windows 2000 DNS causing the router to dialup. I
have looked on knowledge base with the keywords unwanted
calls and ISDN router but can not find any specific
articles relating to this. Can anyone point me in the
right direction?

Many thanks

Derek

1. On the forwarders tab check the box "Do not use recursion"

2. Make sure the clients do not have a do have a DNS suffix in the search
order that your local DNS does not have a zone for. (These are added to all
client queries)

3. All clients must point to the local AD DNS server only.

4. Make sure you have the latest service pack
