Hi all,
I'm a bit desperate.
Whenever I start my machine I get the following error
message...
DNS Cache Init Failed
UDP Socket intitalization failed, could not connect to
UDP Port, error 10048.
The computer is hard-connected to a wireless router.
Another XP home machine is on this router too.
The computer can go online, but periodically gets kicked -
and this shuts down the whole network for a few
seconds... When this machine isn't on the network, this
kicking of the other machine doesn't occur.
This error occurs on ANY of the user names on the
machine. Windows loads, and after choosing a profile the
error shows... Please, if you have any ideas on how to
solve this, you'll win much life-karma...
Feel free to e-mail at the above address (minus the
NOSPAM, of course...
Thanks in advance!
