DNS and Email issue/POP3/SMTP

Hello Everyone,

Here is my problem:

I just recently started to host my compay's email
internally using Exchange. I have POP3 configured and SMTP
configured. Everything works well outside of my internal
network since the MX record is pointing to an External IP
that is then associated with an Internal one. A challenge
I am having is with DNS and configuration of outlook
clients. The executives do not want to change their POP3
and STMP addresses every time they go inside my network.
When they are inside they are not able to resolve the name
of my Server that has POP3 and SMTP because the host name
and MX record is pointing to an external IP on the other
side of the firewall and my firewall does not allow for
something to go out and back in. What I have been doing is
just using the actual name of the server instead. I would
like to know if anyone could give me advice on how to
configure my internal DNS server to be able to resolve an
external network name without having to go out. For
instance: If my mail server is Mail.company.com I would
like for my DNS to know that if someone is trying to get
there from inside my network they just need to go to an
internal address instead of going out and back in.
Currently my internal domain has a different name than
what the domain name is of the Company website.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Antonio

In your internal company.com Forward lookup zone create those records with
the internal IP of your mail server. Don't worry about the MX record clients
do not query for them you really don't even need an MX record internally.
