i've put the brackets around the form name and am still getting the same
error, could it be the spaces in the formula...

Simplify the problem. Does the expression work if you enter a hard value
instead of using the form reference? If so then you know trhe form reference is
the problem. If not, then you know one or both of the first arguments are the
problem.
