Hi. A friend of mine has XP professional installed and he's getting an error
at log on in a pop up message box. The message box header reads "RUNDLL" and
the message text reads "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\image.dll the specified
module could not be found"
The message box is a critical stop type and has an OK button, but clicking
OK just makes the windows error sound and teh pop up does not close.
It does NOT stop windows or his applications running.
I've searched my installation of XP Pro and I do not have a dll file called
Image in the c:\windows directory; neither do I have the problem. A quick
search of the WWW suggests that this problem could be related to his running
adware software recently.
Can anyone please tell me what I need to do (or tell my friend to do for
himself) to sort this problem out for him?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
