dll and txt files

I am running windows xp, I also have an adware program
running to help keep my pc clean, but it keeps finding
the same files over and over which are (mxtarget.dll),
(atdmt[2].txt) and (valueclick[2]txt). Is it safe to
delete these files without hurting my operating system?

Are you familiar with cookies (the Internet kind)? They're something you
need to learn about if you're going to be on the Internet. Internet Explorer
has good tools to help you manage cookies. Once you do, you'll find that
your adware detector spots increasingly fewer of the 'bad' kind of cookie.

yes i am familiar with cookies and delete them often but
the adware keeps finding these dll and txt files and
saying the are adware. I have found these in my computer
and still don't know if I can safely delete them.
