I have just installed a dlink DWL-G520+ card in my Dell
Dimension 2400 (XP Home) I am using an Apple Airport and
can see the network name. When I rescan with the dlink
utility I get a signal that starts out good and then in
seconds drops away and then looses connection completely.

Anybody that can provide some help? would be much
appreciated!

Check the Authentication options in your wireless network adapter's settings
and make sure that you don't have 802.1x authentication enabled. You'll
find this by right-clicking your wireless adapter in the Network Connections
box, selecting Properties, then the Authentication tab.

Does this happen at the beginning right after your OS
starts up, or after you log on? If so I have a similar
problem. My system starts up and for a minute has a
signal, but then the signal fades to low, then no
signal. After this no wireless networks are available.
The only way I can change that is by restarting my
computer, at which time it does the same exact thing.

The Wireless Desktop Card I am using is a DWL-520, and I
have tested it in another computer and it works. It just
happens on this computer.
