Dividing a cell

Is it possible to divide a cell so it will have two parts.
This is required to label heading one part for horizantal
heading and other part for the vertical headings. if it is
not possible is there is a workaround.

you could draw a diagonal line from top left to bottom
right corner of cell, then put your 2 headers in. Most
people would understand. If you need to use each of the
headers to generate further headers, eg 1 might be a
date, you could use appropriate text formulas, such as
left, mid, right to extract the "variable".
