Distructive reformat

I have the disks and I need to do a reformat of my hard
drive. Can someone please help me get started...

why
did you run anti-virus and or spybot programs.
we need more info as to why you are reformating.
maybe reformat is not what you want to do.

Hi Susan,

Boot the WinXP CD, start a new installation, you can format as part of it,
no need to do any separate steps first.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Maybe reformat IS what she wants to do. That is why she asked the question.
I can think of a few reasons to reformat!
