Distribution List

Is there a default size or accounts for a Distribution list in Exchange 2003. We went from Exchange 5.5 (where there was a size limit). I want about 4000 email addresses in my Distribution list, is this possible? Right now it will only allow me to have about 100 email addresses in my distribution list. I have a large range of resellers for my company and right now I had to create a distribution list by a-z seperately, this is very cumbersome in searches, etc...
 
Personal distribution lists are limited to 100 or so names. Consider using a
separate contacts folder to manage the list instead.
