distribution list problem

the mailman

I have a whole bunch of contacts and when I want to create a new
distibution list my contacts names does not appear in the wizard for it to
choose from. Why and how to do it . Thanks

if you click on "New Email" and click on the "To", do your contacts show up
there?
 
no they don't, I thought that when we have filled a serie of contacts they
would be available in other option

Right-click your Contacts folder and choose Properties. Select the Outlook
Address Book tab and check the box labeled "Show this folder as an e-mail
Address Book".

Remove the Outlook Address Book service from your mail profile, stop and
restart Outlook, then add the OAB service back into your profile.
 
nothing works I am following what you said and it does not work for me .
When I come back the contact folder is added already with only three names
in it and I have 150 over names in my contacts

Can you post the exact steps you took to define the address book service and
in what windows you see or don't see what you want?

And in the "Show names from the" drop-down, is this the only Contacts folder
showing?
 
yes the other one showing is Outlook address book and when I choose it says
it is empty
