Distribution List email in limbo

I sent an email using a previosly used distribution list and the email show
trying to send, but comes up with an error "501 - too may syntax or protocal
errors". I have checked the list, but couldnot find anything wrong. I finally
deleted all adresses and it is still trying to send this message (for over
two months now!) I can find the message in the sent file or the outbox file -
it is no where to be found so I could delete it. Any ideas?

When you hit the send/recieve and it shows it going thru each email acount I
get a error message. It is a POP email and it does it with or without an
email scan (Symantec) turned on.

How do you know its trying to send? What type of email account? Are you
scanning outgoing mail with a virus scanner?

So its not visible in the Outbox? What view are you using? Can you find it
if you use Search?

See if you can find it using outlookspy - see
