I downloaded the 266mb behemoth version of SP2, and this is what I get when
I try to install it... up pops a DOS window titled:
"[Inactive???????FP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.ex]". Inside the box is the following
statement... "Program too big to fit in memory".

I have 512mb memory and have closed all extraneous programs before running.
Any ideas what is going on here?

Simply double-clicking it should start the process unless the download
was corrupted.

One tiny spider crawling around on your motherboard can cross two bytes,
thus pharking the entire file.

That indicates a corrupt downloaded file. Try downloading again.
