Distorted formatting of charts and difficulty viewing chart

The legend and axes of an excel chart (pasted into a Powerpoint slide) look
distorted to me, regardless of what size font I change them to.

In this same slide, whenever I double-click on the chart, most of the chart
area is outside of my view on the screen. I have to minimize it to 25% to be
able to see the whole thing.

How do I correct these problems? I'm using Powerpoint 2003, Windows XP.

Thanks. --

Right-click the chart, choose Format/Object, and resize to 100% x 100%.

Then zoom your slide view to 25%.

Then double-click to activate the chart and use the herringboned
handles/edges to resize while it's activated.

When you click away from the chart to close it, the chart should be resized
on your slide. (If you were to right-click it and check the size tab now, it
should be sized to a new 100% x 100% size.)

After following the directions below, my chart reverts back to the distorted
image. When I recheck the size tab, the 100 x 100 size is not held. This
doesn't happen with any of my other charts; I'm not sure what accounts for
the difference.

Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you.

Hm. I don't know what would be going on, then.

If you want, email me just the problem slide. I'll see if I can get it to
size properly.

Just remove the UGHSPAM from my email address. Please include a reminder of
what it is I promised to do!
